Founded in 2016, J. B. McCrea Law is a family focused law firm. We are prepared to help your family from the beginning (adoption, birth) to the end (Wills, Estates and Trusts). Not only are we invested in your family, as a family business, we understand the value and strength of the family bond.

Meet the Team
Jenifer B. McCrea
Attorney/Owner
Jenifer McCrea graduated from University of North Carolina – Greensboro, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She attended Elon University School of Law, and began her practice in civil and criminal law in Guilford County, North Carolina.
In 2019, Jenifer moved to Brunswick County and focused her practice in Family Law. She handles cases in both District and Superior Court.
Jenifer has three adult children, who all reside in North Carolina. She has two pets- Wicket, her elderly Shih Tzu, and Ruth Bader Ginspurr, her rescue kitten.
Ian McCrea
Paralegal/Office Manager
Ian McCrea graduated from University of North Carolina- Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his paralegal certificate and began working for J.B. McCrea Law (officially) in 2025. However, he and his brother, Alex and his sister, Riley, have often been “voluntold” to work for J.B. McCrea Law over the years.
Katherine Youngblood
Attorney Of Counsel
Katherine Youngblood graduated cum laude from University of North Carolina – Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She attended Elon University School of Law where she and Jenifer McCrea first met.
Katherine has two sons, neither of whom want to become a lawyer.
